I’m Valerie Comer. If you’re interested in exploring the intersection of food and faith, you’ve come to the right place.
I’m passionate about real food and firmly believe it’s a topic God wants close to the hearts of Christians. I put feet (and hands!) to my faith on a small farm in western Canada, where my family and I grow and preserve much of our own food. We’re active in local foods initiatives and our creation-care-centric church.
My fiction also hangs out where food meets faith. Raspberries and Vinegar, my first solo romance novel, releases in August, 2013. It’s the first in a 3-book series A Farm Fresh Romance. This unique farm lit series follows the adventures, romantic and otherwise, of three college graduates who move onto a reclaimed farm where they plan to take the rural area by storm with their sustainable lifestyle and focus on local foods.
I blog here once a week, occasionally twice. You may wish to subscribe to my RSS news feed here, or sign up for email notification over on the sidebar. I’d be honored if you’d sign up for my monthly e-newsletter. (There’s a free gift!)
I frequent these Social Media sites:
I also own and maintain To Write a Story, a site that teaches an overview of the fiction writing process via blog posts and a free course by email.
