Review Criteria & Stars

**My Review Policy
I prefer to seek out my own books for review through ACFW and NetGalley.

I will only review fiction with stories I can stand behind and recommend to others, and if an author or publisher has provided a book I don’t enjoy, I reserve the right not to post a review at all.

I prefer to read contemporary Christian romance, with women’s fiction and historical fiction coming behind. I also enjoy quite a few speculative titles.

Though I don’t provide *starred* reviews here on the site (I do on Amazon), here are my criteria for each level:

***** 5 star: I love this book so much I need to stalk the author to find out what else s/he has written and what is soon coming out.

**** 4 star: I really enjoyed this book. It’s definitely something I can recommend to my friends.

*** 3 stars: This was a pretty good book. An average good book. It’s quite possible you will love it.

** 2 stars: I kept forgetting I was reading this book, so it took a while to get through it.

* 1 star: I never bothered to finish this book because something about it bugged me so much (boredom, errors, whatever) it just seemed like a waste of time.
