Anyone else feel 2015 went zoom-zoom? I know mine sure did! Almost a year ago, I posted these goals for 2015. Today is accounting day, when I take a look back and see how I did.
The basic goals were to write and publish three novels (completing the Farm Fresh Romance series) and five novellas (the entire Riverbend Romance series) in 2015, release three audiobooks, and participate in an undisclosed number of multi-author box sets.
The first half of the year went according to plan, but then my health took a dive and slowed my output for the remainder of the year.
Actual results?
~ Two novels written/published in 2015 rather than three — the sixth (and final!) Farm Fresh Romance #6, Berry on Top, is a-l-m-o-s-t written and will release in February 2016 rather than late 2015.
~ Five novellas written and published as planned, including a 5-in-1 paperback!
~ Two audiobooks (Wild Mint Tea and Sweetened with Honey) released rather than three — letting Snowflake Tiara slide was one of the easiest ways to reduce stress in the second half of the year.
~ Multi-author box sets. Love Brings Us Home (containing FFR1, Raspberries and Vinegar) ran from November 2014 through August 2015. Summer of Love (containing FFR2, Wild Mint Tea) ran from May-October 2015. Splash (containing Riverbend3, Sweet Serenade) ran from June-November 2015. Home for Christmas (containing More Than a Tiara from Snowflake Tiara) released in October 2015 and is still available, as is Love’s Gift (containing Riverbend5, Merry Kisses), which also released in October.
2015 has been a year of health challenges and being very thankful for the many blessings I’ve been given. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation on Vancouver Island in June. We’ve enjoyed hundreds of hugs from our three happy, healthy, and bright grandgirls… and enjoy great relationships with their parents.
I’m so thankful for the writing successes as well, even though I missed that last deadline. God has blessed my stories this year and brought me many new readers and subscribers. I pray for each one!
Stay tuned for next week, when I’ll post my goals for 2016!
I’ve been posting my annual goals to my blog for quite a few years, if you’d like to have a look. Before 2009, my reporting was a big haphazard, so after poking around for a while, I decided “back then” wasn’t relevant! Still, if it would amuse you, here’s the list:
2013 goals | 2013 in review
2012 goals | 2012 in review
2011 goals | 2011 in review
2010 goals | 2010 in review

Aw, thanks, Jean! I’m not sure I’d use the word amazing. I simply have so much to be thankful for… and good friends are right there on that list. Blessings on your 2016!

I think you accomplished an incredible amount this year, even if you hadn’t had so many health struggles! Well done!!! I’m so excited for Berry on Top! 🙂

Thanks, Tina! In many ways it has been an awesome year, and I’ve snatched a couple of writing days now for Berry on Top before things get busy again with 2015’s Family Christmas #3.
