Tempest’s story is up and running, though not without a couple of false starts. I’m still amazed I’m actually writing with only a couple weeks of worldbuilding and outlining under my belt! I got about 700 words into the second chapter on Monday but it felt sluggish. I re-read it and couldn’t see the problem….
Or something. But I think I’ve found it! I really really think I’ve found the right spot to enter this story. The right setting, the right confrontation, the right characters in place. I’m LOVING it. It has a HOOK!!!! What I’m not loving is the fact that the second scene doesn’t follow the first scene….
2830 today, but there isn’t a snippet. I just squeezed the words under the time-wire and I’m not really fond of the chapter. I’m thinking too much telling, not enough showing, but figuring that out is a job for after November. Hope you are all faring well…
