Valerie Comer is constantly amazed that living, talking, dreaming characters appear in her mind and flow from her fingertips and, from there, to her delighted readers. She only hopes her creations enjoy their happily-ever-afters as much as she does hers, sharing rural life in western Canada with her husband, adult children, and adorable grandkids.
Valerie is a two-time USA Today bestselling author and a two-time Word Award winner. She is known for writing engaging characters, strong communities, and deep faith into her green clean romances.
From Valerie’s Desk…
I write primarily to encourage Christian women in their faith. I know my stories have also been enjoyed by many men, teens, and pre-believers, but my focus is that women will, first and foremost, know God’s love. After all, isn’t the story of Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection the crux of the biggest, best, and truest romance ever told?
You’ll find a lot of “Jesus talk” in my stories! You’ll find characters sharing prayers, Bible verses, and Christian songs with each other. Sometimes, you’ll even read snippets of sermons as my characters generally attend church.
I believe God loves each of us with a total, life-altering, freely given, radical passion. He offered His Son to provide a way of atonement so that we might live a life that honors Him during our earthly tenure and then live forever with Him in heaven.
