In just a couple of days I’m flying to Milwaukee to spend a few days with my sister and her family before heading to ACFW Conference.
This will be the third conference I’ve attended (2009 in Denver and 2010 in Indianapolis). This year’s will be in the Hyatt Regency at The Arch in St Louis. Looks pretty cool!
This year will be a lot different for me, now that I have an agent and a contract. Of course, the elusive second contract (for a full-length novel of my own) still awaits me. So though I don’t have any agent appointments requested, I do have two editor appointments. There are also a couple of other editors I’m hoping to catch at lunch or in the hallway one day. As well, I’m looking forward to spending a bit of time with my agent.
The publisher of my novella, Barbour, has a special event planned for their authors. Can’t wait to share some photos and tell you all about it after I’m back!
What am I most looking forward to?
Meeting old friends and making some new ones.
Learning some new tips (and having old ones reinforced) for writing and social media.
Great food and atmosphere.
Hanging out with a crowd of 500+ people who ‘get’ me!
Worshiping and being challenged with this same group.
Will I see you in St. Louis?

Valerie, I’m looking forward to seeing you at the conference. I’m another Barbour debut author anticipating that fun event our editors have planned. It’s not long now. =)

Oooh, I’m looking forward to spending time with you, too, Keli! The Barbour event will be soooo fun. 🙂
