My friend Patty Wysong is hosting a weekly a2z meme, and I thought I’d jump aboard. Last time I did something similar, I did it alone and hunted down all the parts of speech for each letter. More freedom this time!!
My top pick for the letter A is American Christian Fiction Writers. This week, on Thursday, my friend Nicole O’Dell and I are teaching a webinar (open only to ACFW members) on hosting Twitter parties. Should be a good time! Watch the main loop for more information. I hope you’ll come!
ACFW is also responsible in many ways for the sale of my novella in Rainbow’s End. I’ve learned so much through the main loop, through the (free) monthly loop classes, and through the annual conference (my 4th coming up soon). ACFW was also instrumental in landing my agent, the lovely Joyce Hart.
Something else I think of when considering the letter A is the Inland Northwest Christian Writers Conference held in March near Spokane, Washington. What does that have to do with the letter A, you ask? The theme was Amazing Awaits, taken from Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NLV): Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write down the special dream on stone so that one may read it in a hurry. For it is not yet time for it to come true. The time is coming in a hurry, and it will come true. If you think it is slow in coming, wait for it. For it will happen for sure, and it will not wait.”
What an awesome verse! I blogged about the conference here, if you’re interested in more information about it.

What an awesome post! I write non-fiction, but I’m seriously considering getting into fiction. Sounds like you learn a lot through ACFW. Also, thanks for that verse. I had never seen that one. How fitting! =]

Thank you for the visit.
Your own book sounds very big to me.
Most often I find it difficult to get my thoughts in a line, feeling slightly nervous showing I have been here in case my tenses are mixed up, luckily for me my spelling is corrected. 🙂
Hope your writings grow as much as you want it to.
