While most of our garden is yet to be planted, what’s in the ground is doing well.
We’ll be eating lettuce any day. The leaves are about 3″ tall. I’m sure you know you can cut lettuce and it will regrow from the roots.
Jim decided to try a network of sticks (from pruning the hazelnut) as a trellis for the peas. They’re working on climbing it, but it isn’t as easy for their little tendrils as something finer. The peas are upwards of 10-12″ tall.
Some of the radishes are ready to eat. In fact, a few made their way into supper yesterday, along with dill and chives from the garden and local asparagus. So wonderful to start eating from our garden.
Hopefully this week we’ll get the rest of the garden planted!
