Introducing… Cinch the Saddle, Cowgirl
All good things must come to an end, painful as it may be. And so we close out the Cavanagh era under the Montana Ranches Christian Romance umbrella.
Sniff. It’s hard to say goodbye, but here we are after six Cavanagh Cowboys Romances and now three more Cavanagh Cowgirls Romances. I’ve simply run out of family members to write about!
I thought long and hard about what kind of a guy the final sister needed in her life. Alexia has been a bit of a colorful character, the wild-card sister, throughout these stories.
She’s also claimed she would never marry, that she would “just” be the fun auntie for all her nieces and nephews.
But… no. This is a romance series, after all! And someone out there needed to love and appreciate Alexia for who she is. That someone is Cody Willis, son of a man who’d lost his own ranch due to a gambling addiction. Someone who feels like he brings nothing at all to this relationship. But someone who loves horses as much as she does.
About Cinch the Saddle, Cowgirl:
Last Cavanagh standing. Alexia always proclaimed herself as the unencumbered fun auntie, but now that all eight siblings are married, she’s feeling it. Not so pressured that she’ll date just to please her family, but she also can’t resist the cute but penniless drifter who needs a job. Happy Trails Stables, the business she owns with her sisters, needs a hand, right? Win, win.
Cody Willis’s dad lost the family ranch to creditors from his gambling addiction. His faith shattered, no home, no horse, no nothing keeps Cody from drifting north into Montana, looking for something, anything, to keep afloat. His new boss, Alexia Cavanagh, is everything he always wanted but can never have.
But when Cody misconstrues an honest effort of Alexia’s to right a wrong in his past, he overreacts and messes up their tentative connection. Alexia can get a horse’s cinch strap just right. Why can’t she finesse a relationship?
