May I introduce you to the Cavanagh Cowboys? If you’ve read the Saddle Springs Romance series, particularly books 5 and 6, you’ve already met two of the brothers, Noah and Adam, as well as their twin 13yo sisters.
Introducing this family “early” had a twofold purpose.
1: So that my readers (that’s you!) would be curious about them and eager to follow the Montana Ranches Christian Romances to a new-but-related series.
2. So that the author (that’s me!) would get to know upcoming characters and their situations in advance, and be ready to start writing them when the time came.
Both angles were a success! In many ways, I found that writing Cavanagh Cowboys 1, Marry Me for Real, Cowboy, felt like a continuation of the Saddle Springs series, and I hope you find the transition seamless as well.
The setting is mostly new (though previously introduced) and is a two-hour drive east of fictional Saddle Springs, Montana. The equally fictional town of Jewel Lake is slightly northeast of Missoula and south of Glacier National Park. I’m planning to use Jewel Lake for two upcoming series as well (one cowboy, one not), so I’ve had fun fleshing it out and will share a map sometime.
Meanwhile, back at Rockstead Ranch, the Cavanagh family holding, we have a mixed bag of his’n’hers sons in their twenties as well as the twin daughters who are now thirteen and a handful. I had fun planning the family dynamics and relationships that will permeate the entire series!

About Marry Me for Real, Cowboy
A fake marriage proposal.
Where will it end?
Adam Cavanagh’s rodeo championship tastes like dirt after a competitor’s critical injury, but going home to his family’s Montana ranch isn’t much of an improvement. If not even the coveted trophy earns his stepfather’s respect, what will it take?
Riley Dunning’s quick thinking is all that’s keeping her body, soul, and principles together, but demanding a kiss from a hunky cowboy to deter the weirdo following her might be taking things too far… especially when the cowboy comes up with a risky plan that might offer them both stability. If it doesn’t backfire completely.
Will a fake engagement give Adam and Riley the leg up they each need, or will the cost to their hearts be too high? Because neither believes the other will want to marry them… for real.
Marry Me for Real, Cowboy is currently available only on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited for the foreseeable future. It is also available as a paperback anywhere you shop for books online.
