Have you read Peppermint Kisses? It’s a short story available only to my newsletter subscribers, and it takes place at Claire and Noel’s wedding a few months after the close of Wild Mint Tea. I’ve been giving away Peppermint Kisses since November of 2014, so thousands of readers have downloaded and read this story! (If you haven’t and want to, click here.)
Ever since publishing Peppermint Kisses, readers have been emailing me asking what happened to Rebekah and Wade after the story closed. Because the story takes place over only a few days, having a HEA (happily ever after) ending with an engagement or wedding would have been way premature! But honestly, I hadn’t planned to write more. To me, this story had accomplished its purpose.
Hoping to satisfy readers, I decided to write Rebekah and Wade into the new Urban Farm Fresh Romance series as an already-married couple expecting their first baby, but that didn’t stem the flow of requests to fill in the missing years for them. And so the idea for Promise of Peppermint was born.
Will fear choke out a second chance at love?
When Wade Roper discovers the woman who fled from his proposal four years before now lives in his new neighborhood, he believes God is offering a second chance to win her love. He vows to take it as slow as she needs but, this time, he won’t let her get away.
Rebekah Jackson’s fears run deep since a traumatic incident in her youth. If perfect love casts out fear, then what she’d felt for Wade couldn’t have been love. Seeing him again brings all her longings and fears back to the surface. Can she put her trust in him and in the God who loves them both? Because, while second chances are rare, third chances are all but unheard of.
Promise of Peppermint takes place about two years before the first Urban Farm Fresh Romance novel, Secrets of Sunbeams. As such, it’s a prequel to the UFFR stories as well as a sequel to Peppermint Kisses. But… it also acts as a standalone! All that in one 30,0000-word novella! I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Promise of Peppermint is available on Amazon Kindle, iBooks, Kobo, Nook, and Google Play.
