Welcome back to Jewel Lake, Montana, home of both the Cavanagh Cowboys Romance series and the Pot of Gold Geocaching Romance series!
That might be important this week, since the heroine of Sapphire Sentiments has played a major role in Topaz Treasure (POG 1), Ruby Radiance (POG 2) and Give Me Another Chance, Cowboy (Cavanagh 2). Sage Mulligan is everyone’s friend, but she’s opinionated and not that easy to get along with. What’s she adamant about?
In Sage’s opinion (which is the correct one, of course), people don’t change. She’ll admit that they CAN change — in theory — but that it happens so rarely that you might as well assume they won’t, and then you won’t be disappointed… or worse, hurt. This has caused some difficulties between her and her friends in the aforementioned tales.
All this time, I knew Sage was coming up. I knew she wasn’t over her high-school boyfriend, Caleb Grant, who’d moved back to Jewel Lake several years back. I knew she could avoid and ignore him like nobody’s business.
What didn’t I know? What had been such a Very Big Deal back then that caused this total aversion (you could even call it hatred) in her. What was it that made her firmly believe that people couldn’t change? And so, this enemies-to-lovers, second-chance romance was born.
About Sapphire Sentiments
Sage Mulligan might believe in God, but she has a hard time believing that He actually changes people. Especially those like her high-school flame, who abandoned her without a backward glance after the disaster that destroyed her future.
Caleb Grant’s full-ride scholarship lifted him above his wrong-side-of-the-tracks upbringing. Now he’s back in Jewel Lake with a successful online business, but his former girlfriend won’t even speak to him until they’re pushed together in the Pot of Gold Treasure Hunt to woo potential investors to the small town they both love.
What will it take for Sage to realize the man of God Caleb has become is the perfect one for her… and that she might be the one who needs to change?
Sapphire Sentiments is currently available only on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited.
