Titles are hard to come up with
Titles are hard to come up with for NOVELS for crying out loud. Who can name a blog post more days than not? (Eyeing my recent history, okay, I’m a bit less often than that…) Does it mean I don’t have anything important to say? Most likely. But lest everyone keep worrying about me after…

It occurs to me
that I have not mentioned how my neck has been doing in the last week or two. That’s not because it’s all better. Just the opposite, in fact. The xrays revealed permanent damage to three disks in my neck (if the numbers 5,6, and 7 mean anything to you). Interestingly, the pain I’ve had on…

On cost of housing and renovating
Hubby and I did a fact-finding mission on Saturday regarding the pricing of modular housing. We had already decided that a fairly small and inexpensive two-bedroom unit would be adequate as we could install it over a raised basement for added square footage. It had been about five years since we’d priced these units and…

Choose your own Adventure, part 2
A couple months ago *we* turned south for the morning photo walk. This time I chose north. The ducklings wouldn’t cooperate, I’ll try again another day. They were so hidden in the grass I could barely make them out at all. Today’s direction for the walk/jog is north.

I can’t believe I got so busy I missed reading people’s blogs for a whole week! It was nice to sit and catch up though. Fun to watch your life, with all the work on two books, the shop, and all the animals, including Rustle the III or IV. Ever think of trying D-Con? It’s the only thing that has ever worked for me for actually wiping out a mouse population problem. 🙂 Love your picture! And yes, I’ll take that pair of rubber gloves over city life any time! (I’m hoping to move into more country-like surroundings when my lease here is up.)
Beautiful picture, Valerie. Give us more!
