There’s not much on the writing front this week. I got one Genesis entry in, and the second is nearly ready. Funny, after my recent post on titles, I got hung up on the title of this nearly-finished novel. It just wasn’t clicking, and my crit partners kept pointing that out to me. Not only that, but TitleScorer rated it low. Can’t have that.
Because I’m entering it in the contest in the next couple of days, I don’t want to make a big deal of the new title here. Suffice to say, I think it does what I need it to. I needed something a wee bit romancey, a wee bit sassy, and a wee bit green. Two out of three ain’t bad! And the score? 51.2 or 79.6, depending on whether you take it literal or figurative. I can live with those numbers.
In between I’ve been working hard as a volunteer building a website, which I’ll be able to unveil within the next couple weeks (gulp!) It’s coming along well, thanks to my buddy Margaret, who keeps teaching me more GeekSpeak.
It occurred to me Wednesday that I’d stranded my novel in mid-sentence when I realized I had to get the Genesis entries in and the website built. I believe I’ll be able to get back to wordcount push next week. I’ve only got about 30K to go, and I want to get to the other end.
If I can only remember the other half of the sentence.
What’s up in your little worlds right now? Getting distracted with other need-to-do’s?

Oh, hugs. I HATE when I do that. Really, most of the time, after hours wasted, I end up deleting the half sentence. Good work on the contest entries though :).

Yeah, I'm thinking if the other half of that sentence/paragraph/sequence doesn't pop to my mind within five minutes, I'll be deleting back to where I can see clearly again. Hopefully not far!
