Novel Morsels, to be precise!
Have you ever read a novel and drooled over what the characters were having for dinner? My good friend and critique partner Nicole O’Dell decided she wanted in on some of that delicious sounding food. She contacted sixty-some of her author friends and asked them to ask their characters for the recipes for foods found in their books!
The result is Novel Morsels, a digital and very unique collection of recipes from dozens of beloved Christian authors…and even some new authors like me! Lyssa and Jeannie from Topaz Treasure, my novella in Rainbow’s End, share three recipes, and I had to sneak in a couple more of my own simply because my blog and my novels are all about local food, too. As you may have noticed!
If you’d like to check this collection out, you have two options.
1. You can download a full color pdf version from Nicole’s website. Just use the code valeriecomer to snag a free copy over Thanksgiving weekend, with my THANKS for your support.
2. You can get a Kindle version for .99 for the next few days only. On Monday it goes back up to the regular $2.99. Bonus? With the Kindle version, you’ll also get a link to the full color pdf file on Nicole’s site.
Check it out!

Sounds like a great idea for a book! I have a chapter of my character’s favourite recipes at the end of one of my unpubbed novels, just because he’s a bachelor who likes to cook, and some of my favourite recipes happen to be some of his. 🙂 I might just have to get myself a copy of Novel Morsels. Thanks!
