  1. I was also disappointed in the lack of talking animals, but there you go. On the other hand, I was pretty much humming all the songs from the Disney version the whole I time I was reading! 🙂

  2. I think if anyone is up to the challenge of yet another Robin Hood, it’s Stephen Lawhead. One almost wonders if that is why he chooses just this sort of thing. It’s been done before a million times (think Arthur Pendragon) and he wants to have his say. And a beautiful say it is.

  3. Ack, Beth, don’t even get me started on Arthurian legend. As far as I’m concerned, it’s so overdone it’s burned to a crisp!

    Though I enjoyed this rendition of Robin Hood. Especially the setting.
