This has been a crazy busy week with not a single word of fiction written, edited, or even (sadly) thought about. Unless you count thinking about not thinking about it for this blog post. ANYway…
One of the things that’s been happening is that our son and daughter-in-law are moving back home after six years in Victoria, BC, attending university. Having newly acquired undergraduate degrees in Geography, they’re excited to return to our rural area and (hopefully) find work. When this post goes live on Friday morning, we’ll be on our way to Vancouver Island to rent a U-Haul trailer, load up their belongings, and drive back on Monday, which is Victoria Day in Canada–rather fitting, come to think of it–and thus a long weekend.
With that in mind, I hunted down a fun writers’ video to share with you so you’ll know how SERIOUS published authors handle their work load. Sung to Paperback Writer. Enjoy!
Good luck with the move and sorry I missed you Friday.
It must be planet alignment or something because it's been crazy where I work, too. One of our gals is on vacation for her daughter's wedding, and we've had reservations half the week (a lot for us), but it's worked out OK because Alex has been working with us. Always nice when the kids can pick up extra cash that doesn't come from my pocket. Three more days and I can get a couple days off.
For me it wasn't AT work so much, but the home and volunteer spots. Wow!
