We’re still on vacation, and have just returned to mainland British Columbia from Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands). The Balance Rock is one of the peaceful ocean views we’ve been enjoying for the past few days.

Hubby and I are on vacation. There’s nothing like a road trip through some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth! Here’s Bow Lake in Banff National Park, where we stopped for a few minutes yesterday.

This week we’re harvesting walnuts! What a bumper crop, around one hundred pounds so far. If they land still encased in their green husk, we just step on them and slide the husk off. Guess I will need more walnut recipes.

This week’s Simple Smile features our resident granddaughter again! She rode in the truck with me while Daddy and Grampa loaded hay bales in the back of the truck to haul to the hay shed. Imagine the fun of running around in the truck unbuckled!
