We just got home from our vacation late last night. There were so many highlights in the past week it was hard to choose just one to feature as this week’s smile. However, Jim and I spent a couple of days camping at a remote lake, just the two of us, and it was a much-needed refresher.
We’re still on vacation, and have just returned to mainland British Columbia from Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands). The Balance Rock is one of the peaceful ocean views we’ve been enjoying for the past few days.

Hubby and I are on vacation. There’s nothing like a road trip through some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth! Here’s Bow Lake in Banff National Park, where we stopped for a few minutes yesterday.
After a very busy two weeks, Jim and I got away for a few days of camping by a creek. I even got a couple of chapters written on my newest novel! Now that’s cause for a simple smile.

We had a lovely visit last week from our daughter, son-in-law, and two little granddaughters, who’d each just celebrated a birthday (4 and 2).
