We just got home from our vacation late last night. There were so many highlights in the past week it was hard to choose just one to feature as this week’s smile. However, Jim and I spent a couple of days camping at a remote lake, just the two of us, and it was a much-needed refresher.

This week’s Simple Smile features our resident granddaughter again! She rode in the truck with me while Daddy and Grampa loaded hay bales in the back of the truck to haul to the hay shed. Imagine the fun of running around in the truck unbuckled!
Yesterday my husband and I went up into the mountains to cut our Christmas tree. Our son, daughter-in-law, and 2.5 year-old granddaughter joined us. After a very busy two weeks, Jim and I got away for a few days of camping by a creek. I even got a couple of chapters written on my newest novel! Now that’s cause for a simple smile.
