My big smile this week was picking raspberries with my two-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter on November 8. We gobbled up about a cup’s worth! Not anything I’ve ever experienced in November before.

My smile this week is summed up with these THREE smiles! So very blessed this past weekend to do several events with my co-author, Angela Breidenbach. Here we are with my daughter Hanna (our cover designer) who hosted a Snowflake Tea for us at her church. Why, yes, Angela and I *did* wear our tiaras…

Woot! Raspberries and Vinegar has finaled in The Word Awards, signalling Canadian Christian writing excellence! So thrilled to be shortlisted, along with my good friend and fellow CNP author, Janet Sketchley, for Heaven’s Prey! (Different categories, of course. R&V is Novel-Romance and HP is Novel-Suspense.)

Om nom nom. There is nothing more perfect than a tomato sandwich with a fresh, garden-grown tomato.
I know, right? 🙂
Oh, that looks good :). We have some tomatoes coming in…if the squirrel doesn’t get them first.
Oh, you MUST protect them from the squirrel! He can find other things, elsewhere…
Colin’s working on it. He’s seeding the gardens with garlic and onion which is apparently a natural repellant.
Last night we had shishcabobs without the sticks lol (we used the BBQ basket) there was red and yellow cherry tomatoes, green and yellow pepers, onion, elk tenderloin and prawns and the only thing that did not come from our place was the prawns. LOVE this time of year. We are also picking tomatoes but have quite a few almost red enough for the next few days again 🙂
Sounds delicious! If you have too many tomatoes in the next couple of weeks, send some my way. After that, I’m sure we’ll have plenty!
we have had about 6 cherry tomatoes so far. I guess I could have saved them all up for a sandwich
