This week’s simple smile is brought to you from Castlegar, BC, where the city has just created and opened three sandy ponds for public swimming. My family is playing in the top swimming pond, which Sweetpea can walk all the way through. The next pond is about 4 feet deep, and the third pond (not shown) is deeper and exits into the Columbia River, at the back of the photo.
We enjoyed a couple of hours there one day last week with our daughter Hanna (left) with Rosalie beside her. Craig and Jim were part of the splashing party, too, and Sweetpea had already headed to the beach to build a sand castle.
Looks like fun!
