Pygmy owl! We actually had a dusting of snow, so Jim and I went for a walk at our nearby wildlife center. This little guy (all of about seven inches tall) got our attention—and eventually we got his, as well.

Last weekend I got to spend a few hours with my cousin Sylvia, whom I’ve only seen once since we were kids. Her son played in a hockey tournament here so I snagged her for a bit. Smile!

Yesterday my husband and I went up into the mountains to cut our Christmas tree. Our son, daughter-in-law, and 2.5 year-old granddaughter joined us.
