I live where there’s real winter, and I like it! Yep, it’s true. So long as I don’t have to drive in slushy snow, it’s all good.
Jim and I went snowshoeing yesterday, and it made me think of Secretly Yours, the Valentine’s Day novella I’m releasing soon. I mentioned to Jim that my characters go snowshoeing in the story. Then, when I told him where to put his snowshoes for this photo, he laughed and asked if my characters did any kissing in that scene.
I’ll never tell.
We snowshoed over to the creek. My characters follow a trail along a wider river… at night… during a full moon.
I will tell you, though, that my characters did not take the time to watch the birds.
Nor did they pull out their iPhones, open their bird app, and get an entire chorus going between the chickadees, the golden-crowned kinglets and the calls on the phone. I would’ve loved to get a photo of the birds, but they were so little and too far away and the camera not quite that good. So, instead, you get a photo of the guy with the app. 🙂
What do you enjoy for outdoor activity in winter?

Glad you had fun. The snow wasn’t deep enough for snowshoeing here, but at least we got some :).

We’ve had more fresh snow since then, and we’ve gotten out every day… at least a loop around the pasture!

Nice :). We had frost this morning. Not quite deep enough :).
