How many stories do you have in progress at any one time? My answer used to be ONE. At least one per stage! And while that is still my preferred number, I’m juggling edits on two projects right now. Here’s the status lowdown:
Joy Comes in the Morning–retiring. A trusted friend and I read through this novel last week and discussed its pros and cons. The cons won, so I’m removing it from my lineup.
Topaz Treasure–the sold novella, part of Rainbow’s End anthology. I’ve now completed the first draft and a brush up pass. It’s now back from two critiquers, including my husband, who checked over the geocaching sections for me. This next week I plan to focus on implementing the comments.
Domino’s Game–completed novel. My agent asked for some specific tweaks to this novel, which I’ve spent the past few days implementing. Hubby is going to take a few days to check over the farming aspects of the story before I send it back.
Cornucopia–my new series! This is what I get to play with whenever I have spare minutes from the above projects. As always early in brainstorming, I’m very excited because this is going to be the BEST series ever!!! But you know? It just might be true! 😉
What are you working on these days? Do you multi-task…or focus on one at a time?
Margaret Fisk says
For me, it really depends on what’s going on. Of late, I’ve been working serially, as in I have three projects “live” but only working on one at a time. But there have been many times when I’ve been editing one thing while writing or prepping another.
