Oh, lookie here. Still on the alphabet. Ahem. Okay, barely started on the alphabet. What’s particularly fun that starts with D?
Noun: Dialogue. My writing buddies tell me I’m naturally good at writing dialogue. Not telling my weak spot–not today! (It doesn’t start with D.)
Adverb: Decisively. “I didn’t get to be an excellent writer by using a lot of adverbs,” she says decisively.
Verb: Daydream. Why yes, I know it can also be a noun. I think daydreaming is an important art for writers. And quite possibly for the rest of the population, too. How can anyone be creative without dreaming? And…why wouldn’t you want to be creative?
Adjective: Determined. The flip side of that daydreaming coin is determination. You gotta dream…but you also gotta DO!
Here’s to a week of sparkling dialogue, daydreams, and getting my current project completed!
What D words can you apply to your upcoming week?
