“One piece of log creates a small fire, adequate to warm you up; add just a few more pieces to blast an immense bonfire, large enough to warm up your entire circle of friends. Needless to say that individuality counts, but team work dynamites.” ~Jin Kwon
What is this teamwork of which I speak? A new blog!
Lest you think I’m abandoning my blog at valeriecomer.com, nope. The new blog, Romancing America, is for one purpose, and one only: to showcase the awesome Romancing America titles coming out from Barbour over the coming year and beyond. Sure, I have a vested interest, as this is the line that’s producing Rainbow’s End, the novella collection I’m part of, in May.
In reality, the Romancing America collections stand alone in one sense, and yet together in another. If we, the authors, can spread the news about everyone else’s collections as well, we’ll all benefit from the increased awareness. Who knows how many committed readers we’ll attract who eagerly watch for each month’s new release?
The collections range from historical to contemporary, from romantic suspense to straighter romance. Some follow several generations of the same family. So you see, there are stories to appeal to everyone. Lots of the authors are well-known, with many books in print. And some of us are newbies or nearly so.
I reviewed Cherry Blossom Capers here on my blog last week. This anthology released January first. So for 4 weeks, starting last Monday, these authors and their novellas will be featured at Romancing America. You’ll get lots of insider peeks!
After that, we’ll spend a few weeks on the February release, and on throughout the year. How can I write this much content for someone else’s book? To be honest, I can’t. But most of the authors are eager to provide ‘guest’ posts with behind-the-scene tidbits about their novellas. They’re not really guests, of course. It’s their blog, too. All that was needed was a central spot and somebody to pull things together. I’ve been called an instigator before (lovingly, I hope) so, in typical Valerie fashion, I grabbed on and made this happen with a lot of help from Barbour. Isn’t the header gorgeous? This was designed and provided by Barbour’s marketing department. Thank you!
So head on over and sign up to the RSS feed or email subscription. You’re not going to want to miss any of the entries on this blog!

LOL! Yes, lovingly…or at least with a lot of tolerance. Congrats on your new venture. May the blog help the series to rise in prominence.

Yr welcome. One of these days I’ll be poking your promo brain to get something like this up for my stuff, right?
